[A*UG] Asterisk Starters Kit

I believe I asked this question about a month ago on the list but nobody 
answered.  Perhaps my question was a little too convoluted.  Perhaps 
this is the better approach:  What should I buy to help me get good 
exposure to what Asterisk has to offer?  (I'm thinking both of Asterisk 
cards as well as VoIP phones here.)
